A new orchestration of Lili Boulanger’s Clairières dans le ciel
Open Consortium

After hearing just a few of these songs I knew I needed to orchestrate them! A chamber orchestration will highlight Lili Boulanger's colorful harmonies and varied textures while making this wonderful music accessible to more audiences and musicians.

Two options for the complete 13 song cycle, both for high voice and:

Chamber Orchestra: 2.2.2.2-2.0.0.0 2 percussion, piano (or harp), strings (sections.) Suitable for collegiate ensembles.

Chamber Ensemble: 1.1.1.1-1.0.0.0 2 percussion, piano, strings (one per part.) More demanding parts.

The consortium will be limited to 10 members with a base cost of $500 for student orchestras and orchestras with budgets under $1 million and $1000 for orchestras with budgets over $1 million.  Members receive exclusive performing rights for two years. The base cost includes parts and scores in PDF format and scores will include the following inscription: consortium members: [alphabetical list of consortium members].  For each version to go forward a minimum of three consortium members is required. Consortium members and sponsors must be listed in all programs.

Available upgrades:
World premiere: add $500
Hard copies of parts and score: add $500

Non-performing organizations and individuals that wish to sponsor the project may do so. Sponsors at and above the $250 level will be listed in the score.
